Should I analyse the HDD first and then press "Advanced"?

Without pressing "Analyse" I pressed "Advanced" right away and this is what I received: If it doesn't work, please post the testdisk.log file content. If you can see your files, choose Write, confirm, Quit and restart your computer. Is it possible that my drive is protected/locked somehow?
