Beware though that the save games between the 32 bit and 64 bit versions of the executable are not compatible.Ĭrysis Warhead is a companion piece to the original Crysis game, detailing the adventures of Psycho as he visits a section of the island not seen in the first game. The new executable is supposed to allow the game to take full advantage of the 64 bit system architecture and players will see an increase in performance. Players will also be able to launch a time demo directly from the command line, if they choose to.Ĭrytek has also added an all new 64 bit executable for both Windows XP 圆4 and for Vista 圆4. The “Enthusiast” graphic setting has also been tweaked by Crytek in order to better support dynamic textures. The developers are saying that the “mouse cursor should no longer have an offset in the menu” and that a problem where Crysis Warhead decided to launch in windowed mode without the player requesting it should not be as common after the patch.
The biggest changes are related to how the game runs in Windows Vista. Be sure to check this in the main menu, in the lower right corner. Patch 1 can be downloaded from Softpedia and will bring the version number of the game up to 1.1.1.710 when applied successfully. Crytek is announcing that it has released the first patch for Crysis Warhead, the first person shooter launched late last year.
